America’s Pastime Stables Launches ‘League Of Their Own Racing Stable’, Headed by Industry Veteran, Maude Walsh

America’s Pastime Stables is excited and proud to announce the formation of League Of Their Own Racing Stable, an all women led and owned syndicate.  Horse racing industry veteran, Maude Walsh, will spearhead the new racing syndicate.

 “League Of Their Own Racing, an all-women partnership, promises to provide the opportunities, friendship, and thrills of thoroughbred horse ownership,” said Maude Walsh.  “I look forward to joining a great group of ladies who share appreciation for the majestic beauty and grace of these equine athletes while cheering them across the finish line.  This is going to be fun!”

Walsh grew up in the thoroughbred industry and began her own career in racing as Hospitality Manager for NYRA.  She also continues to enjoy volunteering for Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation and Belmont Child Care Association.  Walsh currently splits her time between Long Island and Saratoga Springs.

League Of Their Own Racing was established with the goal of creating more opportunities for women to become involved in horse racing, a sport that has historically been more male oriented.

Many women have expressed desire in ownership and thought this new venture would be an exciting new opportunity for more women to become involved in the sport in an approachable way.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for women to share in camaraderie and a chance to attain some financial success.  Most of all, it is about having a great time,” said one of the first League Of Their Own Racing owners, Carol Aronowitz.

The baseball theme of America’s Pastime Stables was thoughtfully carried on with the naming of the new syndicate as well as the new jockey silks.  The two operations will work with each other while also being separate racing entities.
